costume notes: I loves this costume, for some reason I was obsessed with constructing it. I identified with Mewt’s shy and sullen nature. :p I made the wig twice, and if I ever wear it again I will probably use yet another wig since by today’s standards (2009) it just doesn’t cut it!

The top is made of a shantung silk, which I LOVE and thought was appropriate for a prince. The armor is totally old-school paper mache’ and paper clay forms. The cape, top, and pants have lots of tiny detailing of beading around the edges for a little touch of elegance. The funnest part of this costume was putting jewels on my head. I <3 the shiny things.
