costume notes: I am not to into fairies or angels, but I felt the urge to create something of an ethereal nature. I created this design, Violet Faye. I imagine she is a messenger, who must swiftly carry her messages through treacherous territories, and warfaring countries to deliver them into the hands of important diplomats and royalty. I went with very earthy green and brown tones, which was a vibrant mixture with her grape hair. The best parts about this costume are the various wings, which are hand painted to have the purple tinting seen on the tips. I love the feathers on the boots, inspired by Hermes.
