costume notes: Suu’s costumes are always so beautiful. CLAMP really has a great eye for design. I love the stark whites and gold details of her costume, which emphasizes her pureness, and nievety about the wider world beyond her cage. The wings were pretty fun to craft, and they are see-thru plastic, which is pretty exciting. I’m not really big on elegant, ethereal characters and wings, I just don’t identify with them. But I LOVE wings that are abstract and uncommon, and I love robotic things so that made this project extra fun!

I had a lot of fun cosplaying with Yaya at TNT 16.  She already had her Oruha costume and suggested I do Suu. I was apprehensive about wearing such a pale wig because I think I’m not good as a blonde, but I think I managed okay with a white wig! XD
